US EDUCATOR APPOINTED TO TRAIN CHINESE PROFESSIONALS AS COACHES

Moritz is a veteran coach and coach educator, with 20 years of experience. She has trained global executive coaches for professional certification through New York University, the University of Miami in Florida, as well as for Coach U, in Colorado, US, and elsewhere. In addition to her 20-year stint as a coach and trainer of coaches, Moritz has been an executive in global corporations, an entrepreneur who started two companies, and a mentor to executive coaches on four continents.

Moritz will deliver the third module in PEMI’s NLP Coaching Program in October 2014.

2014 ICF Global Board Officers Named

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 6, 2014 – Following a vote by the ICF Global Board of Directors, Meryl Moritz, MCC (USA), and Peter Barr, MCC (Australia), have been elected Vice Chair and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively, of the 2014 ICF Global Board.

Meryl has been a member of the ICF Global Board since 2010, serving as vice chair in the final third of 2013 and as a vice president in 2011 and 2012. She is founder and president of Meryl Moritz Resources, which supports executives in global organizations in enhancing their leadership performance; she is also a coach educator and mentor to organizational coaches. Before entering the profession, she spent a decade as an executive in international corporations and another decade as a management consultant.

Peter has been a member of the ICF Global Board since 2013. He is the founder and visionary of Ingenius People (formerly Ingenius Coaching), and has 12 years of experience coaching high-level achievers in corporations, businesses, sport and life to peak performance. He spent 17 years in the business world as a certified public accountant and executive.

Moritz Replaces Siegel as Vice Chair of ICF Global Board

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 21, 2013 – Following a vote by the ICF Global Board of Directors, Meryl Moritz, MCC, has been selected to fill the position of Vice Chair for the remainder of the 2013 term, effective immediately.

Moritz will replace Bernie Siegel, PCC, who resigned the position of Vice Chair on August 15, 2013. The ICF Global Board and ICF HQ staff wish to thank Siegel for his service.

Moritz has been a member of the ICF Global Board since 2010, serving as a vice president in 2011 and 2012. She is founder and president of Meryl Moritz Resources, which supports executives in global organizations in enhancing their leadership performance; she is also a coach educator and mentor to organizational coaches. Before entering the profession, she spent a decade as an executive in international corporations and another decade as a management consultant.

“ICF faces increasingly critical decisions as we formulate our global growth and retention strategies, continue to upgrade our standards for excellence in coaching, and lean into the tasks of curating and collating the body of knowledge for our profession,” Moritz said. “My forte is facing the unknown and planning its navigation. I’m 100-percent committed and privileged to share my strengths as Vice Chair in service of ICF and humanity flourishing.”

These personnel changes will have no bearing on the nomination and election process for the 2014 ICF Global Board, which is now underway. Members of the ICF Nominating Committee will continue to accept nominations until August 23, 2013, at 5 p.m. (New York). There are two open 2014 Board seats, as well as the position of ICF Chair.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 1, 2012 – Meryl Moritz, global leadership coach, and Director of the International Coach Federation Board, will represent ICF at the Asia Pacific Coaching Conference in Singapore.  The 2nd Asia Pacific Coaching Conference APCC2012 is co-organized by ICF Singapore and the Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (APAC).

Moritz, who coaches leaders in a dozen countries, including Australia, China, Japan, and Singapore, says coaching’s growth is sky rocketing in Asia, “It is an exciting time be a coaching professional in this vibrant, promising region.  According to a study conducted by CoachSource, the number of coaches in the area has tripled in five years and the average hourly rate for coaching in four countries in the region exceeds that for coaching in the US by 20-50%.  Not only is coaching in increasingly higher demand than it has been, it appears to be more valued in this region.”

The APCC2012 vision is to increase the positive impact of coaching across the region. This vision will be expressed through the theme “Coaching beyond Boundaries” and achieved through three progressive dimensions: Transforming Self, Developing the Profession, and Inspiring Organizations and Society.

Moritz to announce winners of the Academy Awards of Coaching

Meryl Moritz joins faculty of DARCO Coaching

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 1, 2010 – Effective October 2010, Meryl Moritz, Master Certified Coach joins the faculty of DARCO Coaching.  DARCO Coaching is a training school whose audience comprises Hassidic and Orthodox Jewish women.  Women with backgrounds as diverse as nutritional consultants, classroom teachers, rabbinical lawyers, social workers, speech therapists, retail establishment owners, etc., learn coaching skills to augment their communication and relating styles.

Moritz says of DARCO’s founder, Miryam Werdyger, “Miryam is a visionary yet a pragmatist.  When she herself was studying coaching skills at New York University, she felt transformed.  With transformation came a feeling of obligation: to carry this message to women in her community. The ethos of the community maps beautifully to how a coach thinks and works with people. She fulfilled her vision in 2009.”

Meryl Moritz forms alliance with TED

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 1, 2010 – Effective this month, Meryl Moritz, Master Certified Coach, joins the ranks of other expert coaches in supporting TED Fellows by serving as their pro-bono thought-partner, inspirer, and facilitator of progress toward their big objectives.

The TED Fellows program is designed to bring together young world-changers and trailblazers who have shown unusual accomplishment and exceptional courage. TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design.  Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences — the TED Conference and TEDGlobal — TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.

Moritz will serve indefinitely as a coach-mentor to young people whose desires map with her experience and interests.
